Dr. Leannda Read brings to Lirata’s consulting team strong executive management experience, and an impressive track record of managing and delivering complex consulting projects and assessment programs in the human services sector, particularly in disability and education.

Leannda contributes expert research, analysis and stakeholder engagement skills to a wide range of Lirata projects. Leannda has specialist expertise in statistical analysis, and applies this in projects which require rigorous analysis of outcomes and impact. Leannda's consulting work spans the fields of education, youth support, housing and homelessness, accreditation, and organisational development. In 2018 she led Lirata’s Evaluation of the Pilot of the Workforce Mutuality Standards on behalf of HealthWest Partnership.

Prior to her work with Lirata, Leannda held the position of Director Professional Services for Assessments Australia, a national allied health assessment services organisation. In this role, Leannda held management responsibility for hundreds of staff and contractors across Australia. She also oversaw the delivery of large scale projects on behalf of government and non-government organisations at a state and federal level, including:

  • The development of a needs assessment and prioritisation methodology for access to state-wide disability services in Queensland.
  • The delivery of two data collection projects across pilot sites in Victoria, Tasmania, and New South Wales on behalf of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
  • The development of a needs assessment, prioritisation and allocation process to support Centre-Based Respite in New South Wales.
  • The management of the eligibility and educational needs assessment evaluation process for the Program for Students with Disabilities, and the establishment of the Program for Students with Disabilities state-wide Assessment Service on behalf of the Victorian Department of Education and Training.

Leannda has strong experience in project management, data management, qualitative and quantitative research, and IT. She brings a rigorous approach to the delivery of complex and time-sensitive projects, with a strong commitment to the highest levels of service delivery.
